Drivers in Japan will soon be able to order their McDonald’s combo well before arriving at the golden arches. Using the country’s real-time traffic and information ITS network, menu details will be transmitted to compatible touchscreen navigation devices. Drivers can then place and pay for orders, ready for pick up at a near-by location. Company execs are hoping this will speed up drive-thru lines.
